Lateif Dickerson (born 26 September 1968) is a certified Master firearms instructor, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), security expert and consultant, weapons specialist, expert witness on firearms, weapons, Use of Force and self-defense, Licensed Private Investigator, and Master Class competitor.
Lateif Dickerson is a Security Specialist for NJ1-DMAT and formerly a Hudson Country Department of Corrections officer where he served for 6 years. Aside from his experience as a corrections officer, Lateif Dickerson also worked with the American Red Cross as an instructor and was an authorized provider for over 10 years as well as being a Search and Rescue Technician in New Jersey Search and Rescue (NJSAR) for about 6 years from 2003. In addition, Lateif Dickerson was in the New Jersey Medical Reserve Corps.
Lateif Dickerson began his formal firearms training at the age of 19, under the instruction of a retired Vietnam war veteran. Lateif Dickerson is shooting for over 26 years and has acquired numerous certifications and recognition, making him an expert on his field.
Lateif Dickerson was introduced to the Filipino art of Arnis-Doce Pares – a technique that uses rattan sticks (Arnis) and knives as well traditional Circle Jiu Jitsu under Dong Cuestra for the Eskrima Arnis-Doce Pares and as for the Jiu Jitsu, Lateif Dickerson studied under the Vee Arnis Jitsu system of self-defense.
Lateif Dickerson is a Training Counselor who trains certified instructors, Chief Range Safety Officer, Combat Handgunner under the late Rich Altrath in the School of Defensive Firearms, Qualified Distinguished Expert Handgun under the National Rifle Association (NRA), Law Enforcement Master Instructor (IALEFI) and NRA Law Enforcement Instructor Development School – Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Weapons of Mass Destruction.
